Blue Cap
My mom swam the aqueous leg of the "Escape from Alcatraz" triathlon to celebrate her beating cancer. She wore the blue cap so that we could make her out from afar while swimming. She also was one of just a few swimmers not to wear a wetsuit.

So I'll be posting photos here
I've decided to begin a photo blog. My thinking is that in the time off I have from real work I can switch between this and my Burrito Bandito blog (which is now devoted to TV and entertainment) to be productive with my time.
Hey, the TV world is built on the art of words and images. So that's what I'll do, work with words on Burrito Bandito and images on Casually Hazardous.
I've debated as to what exactly I'd say about my intent here. But I decided I'd give some heads-up.
I'm interested in textures. That's always been what I've loved the most in photography. So that's kind of what I'm thinking about with what I shoot. I also like portraiture and architectural photography.
In addition, I'm very interested in the interaction with the photograph. If you've read some of my posts on the other one, I am starting from the core level of how we interact with television. I'm interested in photography the same way. How do we interact with taking and viewing pictures? I don't promise to post too many writings about this but I do intend to play around with different formats that present different levels of immediacy. The formats that I use are the most immediate (camera phone) and a less immediate (DSLR). I also might get into large format, as my family has a 4 x 5 camera that is not in use at the moment. I'll include data about the photos when I feel it's appropriate.
We'll see where this all ends up but I'll try to post a photo every day.
I hope you enjoy it.
